Work with me
As a content creator, I create a lot of work ranging from design and illustration to writing and editing. I’m currently taking on freelance projects so if you’re after anything creative, drop me a line - I’d love to hear from you.
I’ve worked with a lot of people over the years, from a blogger wanting a new header design to larger commercial clients looking for full workshop creation. No matter the size or scope of your project, send me an email or fill in the form below and we can have a chat about what you need.
I love creating work based on creativity - scrapbooking, art journaling and art in general lights me up. I love to inspire and encourage creativity and strongly believe any one can be creative. Just as Jamie Oliver believes anybody can learn to cook, I believe creativity comes from the act of creating, not talent.
I’ve built an online audience over my ten years of blogging and creating content, and many of my opportunities have come through my blog. I love creating tutorials and how-to content, such as the workshop for Paperchase.
As well as writing several blogposts for the Paperchase blog, I also filmed and photographed step-by-step tutorials showing their readers how to scrapbook. Following on from these posts, I pitched for and won a large project to create a beginners guide to scrapbooking. Taught in their flagship stores of London, Manchester and Glasgow, the ‘Scrapbooking for Beginners’ workshop helped customers to learn and nurture their scrapbooking skills in a social setting.
The 2-hour workshop content included key techniques to allow the course to be taught by the people at Paperchase, and also included a photoshoot in London to shoot How To videos for additional online craft content.
I have also written blog posts in collaboration with: Joules, Harrods, George Home, GBBO for Debenhams, Uniqlo, Cass Art and Bakingmad.
I have written several articles for Jurys Inn, as part of their Innsider campaign as the Jurys Inn ambassador for Southampton.
My work has also appeared in print, including an interview in Docrafts ‘Creativity’ magazine, featuring my tips and tricks for scrapbooking.
In 2018 I became an Envato Tuts+ Instructor and created a course to teach online students ‘Hand Lettering for Beginners’. The project included writing a course outline, lesson plan and script, filming, audio recording and video editing in Premiere Pro. Tuts+ is part of the Envato family, and helps students master creative and technical skills through self-paced courses and tutorials.
The short course was published online in September 2018, teaching students the difference between hand lettering and calligraphy, the basics of hand lettering and basic techniques, pen control, letterforms and composition. The final results allows srudents to create two beautiful, finished pieces of typography and sets the groundwork for developing their own style of lettering.
