Err, no. This is not England! :)
If you follow me on twitter or instagram, you'll know at the beginning of October I went on a much needed holiday to Turkey. I'm a bit late with sharing my photos but I thought I'd pop them on the blog to show you how beautiful Turkey is. I was a bit unaware myself - I never really thought about Turkey being so colourful and mountainous (!), in fact, I didn't really think about it all until I arrived! My sister and I arrived in Bodrum late at night so the first real view of the country was a real stunner when I opened the doors on our balcony the following morning.

I'd not been before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The weather was just lovely, the sea was so much warmer than the pool and it was a really nice relaxing break. Sadly, the calm feeling didn't last for long after I returned home - being thrown back in to a manic workplace and moving house isn't the best stress relief, but needless to say, the holiday certainly helped me have a clear head to deal with it all.

I have to be honest here and say that I think I'm more of a city break explorer, though. I'm not sure beach holidays are for me, and I'm not saying I didn't have a great time and I am so glad I've been on one, but it's good to know what I prefer now. I'd love to head back to Paris and Graham and I are looking at Amsterdam next year too - there's just so much more to discover and you are really thrown in to a whole new culture. What are your thoughts on beach and relaxation holidays vs exploring city breaks? xo

We stayed at the Yasmin Resort (near Turgutreis) which was lovely. The hospitality and hotel was super, but if you're a major foodie then the buffet will let you down.

If you have any questions about my stay, feel free to pop them in the comments!
